Beethoven születésének 250. évfordulója előtt tisztelegve a Győri Filharmonikus Zenekar a mester egyetlen operájának, a Fideliónak az 1814-es harmadik átdolgozáshoz készült, a híres Leonóra-nyitányoknál kisebb szabású, s azoktól mind zenei anyagában, mind hangnemében eltérő ouverture-jével, a Fidelio-nyitánnyal indítja hangversenyét. A nyitányt követően a csellóirodalom egyik legfontosabb versenyművét, Antonin Dvořák az amerikai évek alatt készült, az Új világ friss hangjait visszhangozó h-moll koncertjét Somodari Péter, a Bécsi Filharmonikus Zenekar szólócsellistája tolmácsolja. A hangverseny záró száma ismét a Titánra emlékezik: jóllehet a VIII. szimfónia szerényen húzódik meg óriási testvérei árnyékában, benne Beethoven egyik legtökéletesebb alkotását csodálja az utókor – a zenei humor egyik magával ragadó reprezentánsa derűs hangokkal csendíti ki a Thomas Kornél által dirigált hangversenyt.

A 60-minute tour starts every day at 13:30, 15:00 and 16:30 in English. To request a tour in other languages (Italian, Spanish, German, French, Greece and Hungarian), please get in touch with the OperaTour team. Please note that the auditorium is closed for visits during rehearsals. Guided tours are not available during performances. For selected tour times, tickets are also available with the PreOpera Menu package. In addition to the guided tour of the Opera House, this option includes a themed set menu of your choice at OperaBistro, which can be enjoyed either before or after the tour.
