Megannyi felemelő családi dráma, négy-öt generációt átívelő transzgenerációs történetek. Az Apám üzent egyszerre család- és identitásregény, egy lenyűgöző Kárpát-medencei paraszti eposz. A szerző a regényből kiindulva mesél családfakutatásról, transzgenerációs adóságokról és hitelekről, találkozásokról és szerelemekről. És persze arról, hogy mi értelme felkavarni a múlt állóvizét. Hogy milyen gyakorlati haszna van a szembesülésnek, és miként lehet az eltérő emlékezet-minták okát és szerepét megérteni. Mindezt, ahogy szokta, anekdotázva, sírósan-nevetősen teszi.
