A történet a kétezres évek elején játszódik. Gittát a második világháborúban elhurcolták, és arra kényszerítették, hogy kápó legyen. Erzsébet szüleivel ’56-ban Amerikába menekült. Gitta túlélte a háborút, New York-ban gazdag üzletasszony lett. Idővel mindketten visszatértek Magyarországra. Titkok és vallomások, két nő sorsa, akik fiatalon maradtak árván.
