Mikor 1790 nyarán Victor Frankenstein hazatér az egyetemről, szerelme, Elizabeth szomorú hírrel fogadja: Victor édesapja halálán van, napjai meg vannak számlálva. Ez arra ösztönzi Victort, hogy egy elhagyatott kastélyban kikísérletezze azt a szert, amitől az emberek tovább tudnak élni. Segítségére van egy titokzatos idegen is, Igor. A kastélyban azonban Victor jóval többet tesz, mint eredetileg tervezte: életre kelt egy lényt. Felmerül a kérdés: vajon egy barátságos ember született meg vagy egy szörny? De tulajdonképpen, ki is a szörny valójában?

Set in the Roman Empire around 74 BC, Spartacus was László Seregi's first true full-length ballet, which at one stroke became a milestone in Hungarian dance life. Since 1968, one generation after another has enjoyed the historically themed choreography, which treats the story of the ancient slave revolt in such a way that its true message is not the rebellion itself, but rather human emotions and choices under pressure.
Please note that the auditorium is closed for visits during rehearsals. Guided tours are not available during performances. For selected tour times, tickets are also available with the PreOpera Menu package. In addition to the guided tour of the Opera House, this option includes a themed set menu of your choice at OperaBistro, which can be enjoyed either before or after the tour.
