„Nagyon, nagyon szép könyv. Szomorú könyv. Drámai könyv. Az a megkapóan szép és drámai benne, hogy szomorúsága egy pillanatra sem terjed ki Bruria fiára, azaz a könyv szerzőjére. Egyetlen személy mindvégig kettő marad. Fiúként szomorú. Szerzőként megőrzi a távolságot. Ami láthatóvá teszi a különbséget a szabadság és az örök családi rabság között. Hajszálnyi a különbség. Könnyeden átláthatóvá teszi vele az egész súlyos korszakot.”
