A Figaro házassága egy őrült nap története: Almaviva gróf szemet vet felesége szobalányára, a gyönyörű Susannára. Rosszul teszi, ugyanis Susanna Figaróba, a ravasz borbélyba szerelmes, akihez hozzá szeretne menni feleségül. Kár, hogy a házaggáshoz az ifjú párnak pont a gróf beleegyezését kell kérni. De a ravasz Figarót sem kell félteni! Agyafúrt tervet sző, hogy elvehesse kedvesét!

The story of the Fountain of Bakhchisarai is set in motion by a romance recounting the reason for the khan's gloom.
