Az előadás a német 20-as, 30-as évek kabarévilágát idézi fel. Némafilmszerű koreográfiára, erős színészi karakterekre és fanyar érzésvilágra épülve mutat be egy századeleji, és egyszerre századvégi groteszk, furcsa világot. Mindezt olyan zenei háttérrel mint: Kurt Weill, a Palast Orchester, énekel Max Raabe, valamint Marlene Dietrich.
A darabban megmutatkozik egy hanyatló világ dekadenciája, a korabeli kabarék stílusjegyeivel, társadalomkritikájával, humorával. Ahogy múlik az idő, és a tavaszból nyár, és az őszből tél lesz, úgy változik át a koreográfia groteszk stílusa melankólikus, szomorkás hangulatba.
Bozsik Yvette a nyolc év kihagyást követő visszatérése után újra színpadon látható, a Zenebohóc szerepében.

Our offer
A 60-minute tour starts every day at 13:30, 15:00 and 16:30 in English. To request a tour in other languages (Italian, Spanish, German, French, Greece and Hungarian), please get in touch with the OperaTour team. Please note that the auditorium is closed for visits during rehearsals. Guided tours are not available during performances. For selected tour times, tickets are also available with the PreOpera Menu package. In addition to the guided tour of the Opera House, this option includes a themed set menu of your choice at OperaBistro, which can be enjoyed either before or after the tour.
This ballet's plot is inspired by The Corsair, a famous verse written in 1814 by Lord Byron, who towered over an entire generation of English Romantic poets.
What happens when the worst traits of a power-hungry prince incapable of resisting earthly pleasures, a morally corrupt, vengeful, manipulative woman, and a desire-driven but highly impressionable teenage girl all erupt at the same time upon the appearance of a holy man?
