Keleten vagy Nyugaton van egy kis nemzet jövőjének záloga? Mit jelent a hatalom, ha százféle érdeknek kell megfelelni? Lehet-e egy országot jól vezetni?
Móricz három részes történelmi regénye csupán néhány évet mutat be Erdély történetéből, de belesűríti egy egész nemzet sorsát. Báthory Gábor és Bethlen Gábor áll a cselekmény középpontjában, két eltérő jellem, két politikai filozófia, két férfitípus. Uralkodásuk véráztatta krónikáját törökök, oláhok, magyarok, székelyek, szászok, reformáltak és katolikusok, nők és férfiak egymást-pusztítása teszi ki. A regény színpadi változata a móriczi nagytotálnak csupán egy részét tudja kiragadni, mégis megrendítő képet ad az örökös megosztottságról, egy nagy fejedelem születésének történelmi és magánéleti hátteréről.
Az Erdély bemutatója a két évvel ezelőtt színre vitt Móricz-adaptációnk, az Úri muri szellemében készül: egy kitűnő irodalmi alapanyagból kiindulva közös múltunk feldolgozására tesz kísérletet.

A 60-minute tour starts every day at 13:30, 15:00 and 16:30 in English. To request a tour in other languages (Italian, Spanish, German, French and Hungarian), please get in touch with the OperaTour team. Please note that the auditorium is closed for visits during rehearsals. Guided tours are not available during performances. For selected tour times, tickets are also available with the PreOpera Menu package. In addition to the guided tour of the Opera House, this option includes a themed set menu of your choice at OperaBistro, which can be enjoyed either before or after the tour.
