Az Énekes madár című székely népi játék az emberi tisztaság és az igaz szerelem diadala az irigység és a jót mindenáron elpusztítani akaró erők felett. Olyan tündérmese, melyben a humor, a könnyes kacagás, az édes évődés és a szárnyaló szerelem mögött fájdalmasan nevetséges, néha szánalmasnak tűnő, ugyanakkor örök érvényű emberi sorsok és cselekedetek rejtőznek.
A világ és az ember ma ugyanúgy működik, mint Tamási Áron 1933-ban írott művében, azzal a különbséggel, hogy a színpadon a csodák meg is történnek…
