Driving the initiative is a passion for singing that plays such an important role in sustaining amateur choirs that the concert came together even last year.
This time, about 400 singers will perform Mendelssohn's oratorio Elias, a worthy successor and sequel to the great Baroque oratorios. The work exhibits an extraordinary richness of melodies, exciting dramaturgy and immense, opera-like choral tableaus. The performance of this grandiose Romantic composition will be a celebration for both the audience and the participants....
Our offer
The series launched in the 2025/26 season focuses on composers whose operas receive special attention during the season. Yet there are many singers who do not find a role in the works of these masters, but who would gladly sing from their rich vocal palettes.
