Az előadás létrejöttének előzményeit, körülményeit és utóéletét mutatjuk be Kacsoh Pongrác, Heltai Jenő, Fedák Sári és Beöthy László portréin keresztül. Sikerek, árulások, mániásan elszánt művészek pokoljárása és mennybemenetele a daljáték jól ismert dallamaival, melyek ezt a hullámvasutat kívánják aláfesteni.
