Én először Darvas Iván csodálatos előadásán találkoztam vele. 1992-ben a Nemzeti Színházban mutattam be, kb. 70-szer játszottam Horváth Csaba rendezésében. Hogy most miért vettem elő? Mert ma talán még aktuálisabbnak érzem. Ma kevésbé az őrült "klinikai" bemutatása érdekel, inkább az emberi kiszolgáltatottság, a hatalom és az ember viszonya. Pokoljáró-szerep és egyre jobban izgat a ki van a rács mögött valójában (aki

There are evenings when our Opera House cannot perform because rehearsals are ongoing on stage until the evening. There are audience members who can only afford to hear their favourite pieces with a discount. And there are works that, although very popular, cannot be staged every season due to the congestion of productions.
The series launched in the 2025/26 season focuses on composers whose operas receive special attention during the season. Yet there are many singers who do not find a role in the works of these masters, but who would gladly sing from their rich vocal palettes. The piano afternoons and matinees are for them, about them, and inspired by them.
A 60-minute tour starts every day at 13:30, 15:00 and 16:30 in English. To request a tour in other languages (Italian, Spanish, German, French and Hungarian), please get in touch with the OperaTour team. Please note that the auditorium is closed for visits during rehearsals. Guided tours are not available during performances. For selected tour times, tickets are also available with the PreOpera Menu package. In addition to the guided tour of the Opera House, this option includes a themed set menu of your choice at OperaBistro, which can be enjoyed either before or after the tour.
