Bár nincs ember ma, aki ne ismerné Karády Katalin nevét, azt mégis kevesen tudják róla, hogy mennyire rövidre szabott is volt az ő karrierje, amit derékba tört a második világégés. Néhány év reflektorfény után új földrészekre vitte az emigráció hajója, ahonnan aztán sohatöbbé nem tért haza.
De ki volt ő valójában? Embermentő vagy díva?
Személyes hangú önéletírásának részleteivel, kedvenc verseivel, korabeli dokumentumokkal és persze dalokkal igyekszünk megidézni az eleddig ismeretlen Karádyt, aki a történelem legnagyobb viharai közepette is meg tudta őrizni tartását, emberségét.
