John Steinbeck Nobel-díjas amerikai regényíró 1937-ben írta meg az "Egerek és emberek" című kisregényét, amelyet később színpadra és filmre is adaptált. Sikere azóta is változatlan, a film újra és újra képernyőre kerül világszerte, színpadi megjelenése szinte mindig szívfacsaró siker, a kisregény a könyvtárak állandóan kint lévő darabja.

Two giants of Baroque music meet during the Advent season in a performance by the OPERA Orchestra and Chorus. Bach’s well-known Magnificat is performed in its original version, in E-flat major, supplemented with movements specifically tailored to the festive season by the composer himself.
A century ago, the world first encountered this remarkable opus, a work that soon became one of the cornerstones of twentieth-century musical innovation. Premiered in 1926, the singspiel is a milestone in Hungarian music history: its composer, Zoltán Kodály, fulfilled his aspiration to elevate Hungarian folk song of ancient origin to the same status as classical music, by virtue of its equivalent values, placing it on the stage of the nation’s Opera House.
