Drakula története hosszú évtizedek óta foglalkoztatja az embereket. Nem véletlen, hogy rengeteg feldolgozás született e témában filmen, színpadon egyaránt.
Zalán Tibor és Seregi Zoltán egy 2000-es évekbeli rockopera pályázatra - az azóta elhunyt kiváló költő Bella István verseivel - készült történetét részben újraírva, dramaturgiai kiegészítésekkel fogalmazza színpadra a vérszívó gróf történetét. A „horrorrockopera” zeneszerzője pedig Szűts István, a Kormorán együttes billentyűse.
A horror rockopera a műfaj jellegzetes kritériumai mellett a magyar-román együttélés konfliktusaira hegyezi ki a történetet mintegy megelőlegezve a magyarság későbbi történelmi traumáját, rámutatva olyan korábbi vallási, ideológiai küzdelmekre és politikai eseményekre amelyek „megágyaztak” a történelmi Magyarország szétdarabolását.

The World of Ballet Remembers a Hungarian Legend 2014 saw the sudden passing of the international ballet artist and ballet director Iván Nagy. After his retirement, he had returned to serve his country by working as head artistic consultant for the Hungarian State Opera.
A 60-minute tour starts every day at 13:30, 15:00 and 16:30 in English. Please note that the auditorium is closed for visits during rehearsals. Guided tours are not available during performances.
A century ago, the world first encountered this remarkable opus, a work that soon became one of the cornerstones of twentieth-century musical innovation. Premiered in 1926, the singspiel is a milestone in Hungarian music history: its composer, Zoltán Kodály, fulfilled his aspiration to elevate Hungarian folk song of ancient origin to the same status as classical music, by virtue of its equivalent values, placing it on the stage of the nation’s Opera House.
