“Mesés idők”: Kovács Kati és Balázs János estje

Kovács Kati megkerülhetetlen alakja a magyar kultúrának, s ez korántsem csak a Kossuth- és Liszt Ferenc-díjat kiérdemelt, egyedi és varázslatos művészetének tudható be. Lenyűgöző személyiségével, önazonosságával legalább akkora nyomot hagyott generációk emlékezetében, mint felejthetetlen dalaival. Szegő András így ír róla: „Kovács Kati életében a normákat tisztelő és betartó, miközben éneklésében mindig a végső határokat feszegető művész. Tehetsége vitathatatlan, hangja egyedülálló. A szeretet szolgálója, miközben abszolút öntörvényű és mindig a maga útját járja. Igazi szabad lélek.” A koncerten többek között azok az immár klasszikussá nemesült dallamok csendülnek fel, amelyek meghatározták az elmúlt hatvan évünket, és mindannyiunk, nők és férfiak, ifjak és örökifjak számára is hordoznak valamilyen jelentést. Kovács Kati partnereként a szintén Kossuth- és Liszt Ferenc-díjas Balázs János, a zenei stílusok és műfajok polihisztora mindig érzékeny, a pillanatból merítkező zongorajátékával teszi feledhetetlenné az estét. A zenés utazás közben Gundel Takács Gábor páratlan karakterével, a két előadóval közösen idézi fel a pesti bárkorszak hangulatát és ikonikus történeteit.
