Népünk belső ellenségei azonban továbbra is folytatják átkozott tevékenységüket, ezért a cári titkosrendőrség a 2030-as években sem pihenhet, és az opricsnyikok ma is éjt nappallá téve dolgoznak, hogy hazánkat szóval és tettel tisztán tartsák. A hétköznapokat a társadalom minden szintjén bódulat hálózza be: a Kremlben, a Titkos Prikázban, a nagyvárosokban és vidéken is, mindenki álmokban, vallási rituálékban, közhasználatú drogokban és mesékben keresi a megnyugvás pillanatait. Minél mélyebb a tompaság, álom, annál nagyobb a boldogság, s a béke.
Az előadás ennek a homályban élő társadalomnak adja a keresztmetszetét, amiben múlt, jövő, valóság, álom, tény és sugallat végérvényesen összekavarodott.
