Talán nincs is a világon olyan gyermek, aki ne ismerné Csipkerózsika szívet gyönyörködtető történetét, melyet egy francia meseíró, Charles Perrault írt le először, az 1600-as évek végén.
A kis hercegnőt születésekor átokkal sújt egy gonosz boszorkány. Az átok szerint mielőtt nagykorú lesz a lány, egy mérgezett tű szúrása végez vele. A jószívű tündérek mindent elkövetnek, hogy ne teljesedjék be az átok, de hiába. Csipkerózsika 100 éves álomba szenderül, amelyből csak egy herceg szerelmes csókja ébresztheti fel.
Az előadást klasszikus díszletben és jelmezben visszük színre, és többek között Csajkovszkij: Csipkerózsika című balett zenéje teszi örök élménnyé az előadást.
