Kepes András az első volt, aki a Magyar Televízió képernyőjén, a nyolcvanas években sztárinterjúkat készített Cannes-ban, Berlinben, Tokióban és Hollywoodban, New Yorkban, Latin-Amerikában és a Nobel-díj átadásokon.
Pénz és összeköttetések híján akkoriban ez még sok furfangot követelt. Mikrofonja előtt olyan világhírű színészek, rendezők, filmesek és Nobel-díjas írók szólaltak meg, mint Woody Allen, Gina Lollobrigida, Donald Sutherland, Federico Fellini, Martin Scorsese, García Márquez, ALejo Carpentier, Julio Cortázar vagy Mario Vargas Llosa és mások –, de eljutott a Dalai láma udvarába és Amazónia őserdejébe is.

A 60-minute tour starts every day at 13:30, 15:00 and 16:30 in English. To request a tour in other languages (Italian, Spanish, German, French, Greece and Hungarian), please get in touch with the OperaTour team. Please note that the auditorium is closed for visits during rehearsals. Guided tours are not available during performances. For selected tour times, tickets are also available with the PreOpera Menu package. In addition to the guided tour of the Opera House, this option includes a themed set menu of your choice at OperaBistro, which can be enjoyed either before or after the tour.
Pairing the two German composers, Wagner and the Wagnerian Strauss in a single evening creates a sweeping and overwhelming fusion of expansive melodies and driving dramatic force. The encounter between Wagner’s mythical intensity and Strauss’s modernism is a dialogue between two musical giants who reshaped not only German but also international musical life. In the performance of the OPERA Orchestra, their compositions promise deep emotions, dense musical textures, and sonic grandeur.
