A 41 éves református presbiter Mészáros János Elek, aki igazi magyar huszár utolsó élő leszármazottjaként bukkant fel a színpadon őszinteségével nyűgözte le a zsűrit, és dobogtatta meg minden bizonnyal sok ezer idősebb nő szívét. A népmesei történet erősen hajaz Susan Boyle-ra, vagy még inkább Paul Potts-ra, aki hasonlóan nem a győztes kategóriából indult, de 2007-ben a brit tehetségkutatót simán nyerte, és egy hét alatt 100.000 darab kelt el lemezéből, amin operaáriákat énekelt.
