A fent és lent ellentétre épülő televíziós komédia-sorozat után itt a színpadi változat, mely világpremierként Magyarországon debütált. Az özvegy Lord Meldrum öccsével, anyósával és két lányával éli a húszas évek Londonjának felső tízezer-beli életét. A kényelmüket szolgáló szakácsnő, az inas, a komornyik és a szobalány legalább olyan színes egyéniség, mint a ház urai.
