cimbalomkoncert programjának reprezentálnia kell, milyen gazdag irodalommal látták el
komponistáink ezt a különlegesen sokoldalú instrumentumot, amelyet a legendás Rácz
Aladár emelt klasszikus hangszerként a koncertpódiumokra.
A rendhagyónak számító estjén három különböző stílusú és karakterű cimbalmos muzsikál közösen. Az est kuriózuma, hogy két ősbemutató mellett, olyan művek hangzanak majd el, amelyek nem megszokottak cimbalomesteken. Azokat a stílusokat érinti a koncert programja, amik egyben ápolják az ősi cimbalom hagyományt, de terítékre kerül az is, hogy megmutassuk, a cimbalom helyét a 21. században és a kortárszene világában.

Our offer
There are evenings when our Opera House cannot perform because rehearsals are ongoing on stage until the evening. There are audience members who can only afford to hear their favourite pieces with a discount. And there are works that, although very popular, cannot be staged every season due to the congestion of productions.
As it is a latent Kodály season, it seems only fitting that the concert at the OPERA honouring the events of 1956 should feature works by the composer. In that same year, the short-lived Revolutionary Council of Hungarian Intellectuals elected him as its president. Throughout his entire oeuvre, Kodály consistently reinforced Hungarian national identity. The programme gains both colour and a ceremonial character from the hymn-like and dance-infused compositions of his middle and later years.
Set in the Roman Empire around 74 BC, Spartacus was László Seregi's first true full-length ballet, which at one stroke became a milestone in Hungarian dance life. Since 1968, one generation after another has enjoyed the historically themed choreography, which treats the story of the ancient slave revolt in such a way that its true message is not the rebellion itself, but rather human emotions and choices under pressure.
