Maggie ugyan régóta sejti, hogy férje összeszűri a levet titkárnőjével, de nem gondolta, hogy ide jutnak. Ám a dolgok nem mennek olyan gyorsan, mert a bérgyilkos a férj jelét várja, egy telefoncsengetést… Addig is beszélgetni kezd az izgatóan vonzó nővel…
A világhírű Chazz Palminteri színész magának írta Tony szerepét, és nagy sikerrel el is játszotta a kaliforniai The Court Theatre-ban 1991-ben. Nem sokkal ezután filmet is forgattak belőle, ahol Palminteri partnerei Cher és Ryan O'Neal voltak, és a berlini filmfesztiválra is meghívták. Mint a kritikák írják, amolyan „tarantinós” hangulat, de nem folyik annyi vér… Most a Játékszínben ismét színdarab, magyarul először szólal meg, melyet a fiatal Csukás-fivérek a színház fölkérésére fordítottak le.
Cher szerepében Pikali Gerda látható, a férj Németh Kristóf, és a szeretnivaló bérgyilkost Nagy Sándor alakítja a Lendvai Zoltán rendezte előadásban.
