A váratlan találkozások varázsa, hogy látszólag összeegyeztethetetlen lények is egymásra lelhetnek-e? Louise meséket ír, Alexandre éttermet vezet. Louise hat éve elvált, egyedül él, Alexandre válófélben van, és három gyermek édesapja. Louise szeret olvasni, és rengeteg hobbija van, Alexandre csak a munkának él, semmi más nem köti le a figyelmét. Nagyon különbözőek, mégis nagyon egymáshoz valók. Kapcsolatuk viharosan indul és viharosan is folytatódik - az egyik az elköteleződéstől, a másik a magánytól fél, mégis közösen próbálnak gyógyírt találni korábbi sérelmeikre és fájdalmaikra. Mindketten vágynak egy jobb, nyugodtabb, biztonságosabb életre, ám nemcsak a várakozásaik, az igényeik is eltérnek egymástól. Keserédes történet a szerelemről és az összetartozás vágyáról.
