Magyarországon Karen Blixen népszerű, regényeit nem könnyű beszerezni. Pedig Kertész Judit kiváló fordításában valódi élvezet a Hét fantasztikus történet, A sors anekdotái, vagy a Téli regék olvasása. És akkor még nem említettük a Volt egy farmom Afrikában-t, amelynek filmváltozata világszerte ismertté tette ezt a különös asszonyt. Úgy hírlik, hogy Hemingway, mikor megkapta a Nobel-díjat, azt mondta, Blixen jobban megérdemelte volna. De Karen Blixen - a férje után Blixen bárónő - soha nem kapta meg. Mindig úgynevezett megosztó személyiség volt, de most, mikor már csak a művei vannak velünk, végül elfoglalhatja helyét a legnagyobbak között. Ezt a célt szolgálná ez az előadás is, mely Blixen életének különös eseményeit eleveníti meg.
Nils Peter Juel Larsen (1942-), aki ismert dokumentarista, író, hiteles, első kézből megismert történetet mesél el. Igazi játék ez, irodalomról, színházról, érzésekről, világokról, tehetségről, szenvedélyről. És mindez kiváló színészekkel egy stúdiószínházi szalonban.
Eredeti dán színdarabot professzionális magyar színházban még nem mutattak be. Filmekből készültek előadások, (Ünnep) regény dramatizálások is előfordultak (Janne Teller: Semmi), de eredeti dán színdarab, melynek ez a legelső előadása, tehát világpremierje - még nem kerül színre Magyarországon.
