„A rendszerváltás óta eltelt negyedszázad egyik legnagyobb gyalázata az ügynökakták feltáratlansága, s ez a politikai elitek szégyene, botránya. Lehetséges-e életben maradni ekkora dózisú méreggel a szervezetben? Olyan betegsége ez a társadalomnak, amibe sok érintett belehalt már, mások viszont köszönik, jól vannak, pompásan érzik magukat...” (Ménes Attila)
Our offer
The series launched in the 2025/26 season focuses on composers whose operas receive special attention during the season. Yet there are many singers who do not find a role in the works of these masters, but who would gladly sing from their rich vocal palettes. The piano afternoons and matinees are for them, about them, and inspired by them.
For the 14th time, the performance of the famous Symphony No. 9 will dominate the OPERA’s New Year celebrations. In 2027, the programme will be completed by two further classical works: Beethoven’s overture, also enhanced by Mahler, and a cello concerto by Haydn, the latter of course featuring an OPERA soloist.
János Hunyadi is responsible for the tolling of bells around the world; Mátyás Hunyadi is the hero of a string of folk tales; László Hunyadi inspired “only” an opera.
