Hontvári Gábor Junior-prima díjas fiatal karmestert választotta a 172. ünnepi hangversenyük dirigensének a Budapesti Filharmóniai Társaság Zenekara. Az Erkel Ferenc által alapított együttes két emblematikus zeneszerző előtt tiszteleg, akik mindketten szoros kapcsolatban voltak a zenekarral. Brahms 1879-1890 között vezényelte a Filharmóniai Társaságot, akitől az egyik legderűsebb 2. szimfónia csendül fel, illetve Dohnányi Ernő előtt, aki 42 évig volt a Társaság elnök-karnagya. Dohnányi fisz-moll szvitjében a szólamok finoman simulnak egymáshoz, és a rendkívül sokszínű alkotás, a virtuóz hangszerelés az operaházak atmoszféráját idézi. Az 1853-as első koncert emlékére szervezett hangversenyen hagyományként egy új alkotás is helyet kapott, idén Gyöngyösi Levente műve csendül fel először a publikum előtt.

Set to a libretto by Barnabás Szöllősi that is based on Andor Szilágyi's fable for the theatre and written at the OPERA's request in the 2014/15 season, Erkel Prize-winning composer Zsófia Tallér's masterful, expressive and entertaining music makes this Hungarian fairy tale opera an enjoyable experience for children and adults alike, and, we hope, a possible future classic.
What happens when the worst traits of a power-hungry prince incapable of resisting earthly pleasures, a morally corrupt, vengeful, manipulative woman, and a desire-driven but highly impressionable teenage girl all erupt at the same time upon the appearance of a holy man?
