Rahmanyinov és Medtner 1902-ben találkoztak először, amikor Rahmanyinov felfigyelt Medtner f-moll zongoraszonátájára, amely a fiatal zeneszerző hírnevét megalapozta. Ettől kezdve szoros barátság alakult ki köztük, amelyet kölcsönös tisztelet és támogatás jellemzett. Szergej Rahmanyinov rendkívül nagyra értékelte Nyikolaj Medtnert, akit „korunk legnagyobb zeneszerzőjének” nevezett. Barátságuk és kölcsönös tiszteletük számos gesztusban megnyilvánult: Medtner második zongoraversenyét Rahmanyinovnak ajánlotta, míg Rahmanyinov negyedik zongoraversenyét Medtnernek dedikálta. Ez a kölcsönös megbecsülés nemcsak zeneszerzői munkásságukban, hanem személyes kapcsolatukban is erősen jelen volt. Koncertünkön a két barát 1-1 jelentős opusza csendül fel és nem csak zenéjüket de barátságukat is jobban megismerhetik.
Our offer
Set in the Roman Empire around 74 BC, Spartacus was László Seregi's first true full-length ballet, which at one stroke became a milestone in Hungarian dance life. Since 1968, one generation after another has enjoyed the historically themed choreography, which treats the story of the ancient slave revolt in such a way that its true message is not the rebellion itself, but rather human emotions and choices under pressure.
While the Fountain of Tears bubbles before him, Giray, khan of the Tatars, is lost in brooding. Just as the flow from the marble fount cannot be exhausted, his own sorrow will never diminish, either. The story of the Fountain of Bakhchisarai is set in motion by a romance recounting the reason for the khan's gloom.
Please note that the auditorium is closed for visits during rehearsals. Guided tours are not available during performances. For selected tour times, tickets are also available with the PreOpera Menu package.
