Baranyay László negyven éve tanít a Zeneakadémián, s immár elmondható, hogy több zongoristagenerációt nevelt fel: műhelye számos versenygyőztes művészt adott a világnak. A Liszt-díjas Baranyay Ungár Imre növendékeként szerezte meg zongoraművész diplomáját alma materében, 1969-ben, majd posztgraduális tanulmányokat folytatott a moszkvai Csajkovszkij Konzervatóriumban, Stanislav Neuhaus professzor vezetése alatt. Részt vett Anda Géza és Sebők György mesterkurzusain, s tanította Fischer Annie is. A Solti Teremben tartott koncerten „mester és tanítványai” együtt mutatkoznak meg, s a fellépők között éppúgy találunk Liszt- és Kossuth-díjas művészeket, mint frissen végzetteket, vagy éppen zeneakadémistákat.

A 60-minute tour starts every day at 13:30, 15:00 and 16:30 in English. To request a tour in other languages (Italian, Spanish, German, French and Hungarian), please get in touch with the OperaTour team. Please note that the auditorium is closed for visits during rehearsals. Guided tours are not available during performances. For selected tour times, tickets are also available with the PreOpera Menu package. In addition to the guided tour of the Opera House, this option includes a themed set menu of your choice at OperaBistro, which can be enjoyed either before or after the tour.
There are evenings when our Opera House cannot perform because rehearsals are ongoing on stage until the evening. There are audience members who can only afford to hear their favourite pieces with a discount. And there are works that, although very popular, cannot be staged every season due to the congestion of productions.
