A halálba táncoltatott leány balladája sokakat megihletett már a magyar táncművészetben az elmúlt évek során. E mostani, az amerikai filmes, Hules Endre és a Cinema-Film felkérésére készült táncjáték az azonos című, amerikai-magyar koprodukcióban létrejövő játékfilm magját képezi majd.

A „Halálra táncoltatott leány” balladája ihlette meg a kanadai-magyar-szlovén koprodukcióban készült játékfilm rendezőjét, Hules Endrét, aki felkérte Zsuráfszky Zoltánt a film koreográfusának, táncrendezőjének.
Zsuráfszky Zoltán megalkotta a ballada táncszínházi feldolgozását is, amely eredetiségével, színes és izgalmas táncaival méltó alapot adott a hamarosan mozikba kerülő filmhez, amely Észak-Amerikától Nyugat-Európáig szinte minden rangos filmfesztiválon bemutatkozik, így komoly szerepet játszik majd a magyar kultúra és néptáncművészet nemzetközi népszerűsítésében.
Közreműködik a Honvéd Táncszínház. Hangfelvételről közreműködik a Honvéd Táncszínház zenekara, énekel Fekete Zsuzsanna.
