Bach-maraton Művek Anna Magdalena Bach kottafüzetéből; többszólamú invenciók

2008-ban, az első maratonon Pjotr Iljics Csajkovszkij műveit hallhatta a közönség. A tizenegy hangversenyből álló, különleges műsorú és hangulatú, reggeltől estig tartó, az életmű keresztmetszetét nyújtó sorozat minden várakozást felülmúlóan nagy sikert aratott.

A következő években a rendezők Dvořák, Beethoven, Schubert, Mozart, illetve Bartók műveiből állították össze a maratonok műsorát. A Magyarországon korábban ismeretlen hangversenytípussal hagyományt teremtett a Budapesti Fesztiválzenekar és a Müpa: a zenerajongók piros betűs ünnepként tartják számon azt a napot, amelyen mindenki kedvére "tobzódhat" kedves szerzője népszerű darabjaiban. A 2014-es maraton főszereplőjéül Fischer Iván a zenetörténet egyik legnagyobb géniuszát, Johann Sebastian Bachot választotta.
