25 éve töretlen sikerrel, túl a 700. előadáson Mácsai Pál és Bereményi Géza az Örkény napló- és interjúrészleteiből, illetve a barátoknál őrzött magnószalagokról leírt beszámolók alapján össze állított monodráma. „Ahogy az ember halad előre az időben, ahogy öregszik, más rétegeket talál, mint fiatalon: olyasmit is, amit észre sem vett, vagy ha észrevette is, nem érezte a súlyát.” Mácsai Pál
Mi lenne, hogyha Örkény István ismét megjelenne, egy színészben, egy színházban, egy este, leülne, venne egy lélegzetet, beszélni kezdene, elmesélné a saját szavaival az életét, vagy ami hirtelen az eszébe jut, azután megint eltűnne.
Ezen az estén az író a színész testét ölti magára.

Bartók Béla’s two highly influential stage works explore the dynamics of the relationship between man and woman and the deeper layers of their personalities, as presented by creators who, through a fusion of tradition and innovation, reveal the possibilities inherent in these works for 21st-century audiences.
Please note that the auditorium is closed for visits during rehearsals. Guided tours are not available during performances. For selected tour times, tickets are also available with the PreOpera Menu package. In addition to the guided tour of the Opera House, this option includes a themed set menu of your choice at OperaBistro, which can be enjoyed either before or after the tour.
This ballet's plot is inspired by The Corsair, a famous verse written in 1814 by Lord Byron, who towered over an entire generation of English Romantic poets.
