Samuel Beckett Az utolsó tekercs című 1958-ban írt darabja egy Krapp nevű férfiról szól, aki születésnapjának "szörnyű eseménye" alkalmából minden évben szalagra mondja az elmúlt év fontosabb eseményeit, hogy ily módon megőrizhesse emlékeit azokra az időkre, amikor már nem lesz több hely az emlékezetében.
