A produkció tisztelgés az 1956-os forradalom és szabadságharc hősei: álmodók és mártírok emléke előtt, az egyik legismertebb klasszikus magyar irodalmi mű, Az ember tragédiája egyfajta továbbgondolásaként.
Milyen gondolat, milyen vágy hajtotta a magyarokat 1956 őszén, amikor kezükbe vették saját sorsukat? Az 56-os szín azt képzeli el, mi történne, ha Madách Imre drámájának alakjai – Ádám, Éva és Lucifer – még egyszer időutazásra indulnának, és eljutnának a forradalom napjaihoz.
Az előadás így idézi meg a korszak hangulatát és a hétköznapi hősöket, akik szabadságot akartak, és ezért sokszor az életüket is kockára tették. Rövid ideig megmutatták, milyen erős tud lenni a közös akarat, még akkor is, ha a harc végül elbukott.

A 60-minute tour starts every day at 13:30, 15:00 and 16:30 in English. For selected tour times, tickets are also available with the PreOpera Menu package. In addition to the guided tour of the Opera House, this option includes a themed set menu of your choice at OperaBistro, which can be enjoyed either before or after the tour.
