Mit jelent együtt alkotni valamit? Elengedni a harcot, engedni, hogy egy születő előadás arra menjen, amerre akar. Mi történik a tandembiciklin egy közösen megtett útszakaszon? Hogyan lehet fenntartani a törékeny egyensúlyt? Az egységből való megbomlástól valami új elérkezéséig. Az egyensúlytól az egyensúlytalanságig, az egésztől a részekig, és vissza.
” ...Keresettek egy laza testtartást! Nagyon fontos hogy ki-be lélegezettek, ez az előadás teljes ideje alatt érvényes. 50 perc elég sok idő ahhoz hogy az izmok lemerevedjenek, ezért arra kérünk titeket, hogy bármikor amikor kedvetek van billentsétek el a fejeteket az egyik vagy a másik irányba. Párkapcsolatban élők össze is dönthetik a fejüket. Előfordulhat hogy nem jól komponáltunk egy-egy képet, mert mondjuk mindketten a bal vagy a jobboldalon vagyunk. Ilyenkor próbáljátok meg azt hogy az
ellentétes irányba billentitek a fejeteket. Nézzétek meg hogy változik a tér. Minden a helyére került, igaz?...”

There are evenings when our Opera House cannot perform because rehearsals are ongoing on stage until the evening. There are audience members who can only afford to hear their favourite pieces with a discount. And there are works that, although very popular, cannot be staged every season due to the congestion of productions.
A century ago, the world first encountered this remarkable opus, a work that soon became one of the cornerstones of twentieth-century musical innovation. Premiered in 1926, the singspiel is a milestone in Hungarian music history: its composer, Zoltán Kodály, fulfilled his aspiration to elevate Hungarian folk song of ancient origin to the same status as classical music, by virtue of its equivalent values, placing it on the stage of the nation’s Opera House.
