Olaszország – napfény – szerelem, s egy vitorlás hajó, amely felborul. Természetesen a legrosszabbkor, hiszen a fiatal, cserfes lány meztelenül marad a jéghideg vízben. Szerencsére jön egy horgász, aki kimenti, de ezáltal elindul egy félreértés sorozat, komikus helyzetek egymásutánja, aminek persze a vége most is csak a szerelem. Közben pedig csak kapkodjuk a fejünket, hogy a pikáns helyzetekből hogy vágja ki magát egy arisztokrata, önálló, fiatal lány az 1940-es évek elején a legfelkapottabb olasz nyaralóhelyen.
