A fiatal özvegy, Anna Petrovna birtokán, szokásos féktelen nyári örömünnepre készülő társaság már csak Platonovot, a közösség lelkeként számontartott falusi tanítót várja, hogy kezdetét vegye a mulatság. Ám a férfi érkezésekor szembesül régi szerelme házasságkötésének tényével. Az önfeledt szórakozás, Platonov tréfái, a hosszú tél után megérdemelt felszabadultságérzés helyett elfojtott érzelmek, féktelen indulatok, ki nem mondott vallomások törnek elő a legkevésbé várt módokon. Házasságok, életek, anyagi javak forognak kockán Csehov művében, mely magában foglalja későbbi nagy drámáinak több elemét is. A magányosság különös tragikomédiájaként számontartott darabot Szász János rendezésében láthatják.

Two giants of Baroque music meet during the Advent season in a performance by the OPERA Orchestra and Chorus. Bach’s well-known Magnificat is performed in its original version, in E-flat major, supplemented with movements specifically tailored to the festive season by the composer himself.
A 60-minute tour starts every day at 13:30, 15:00 and 16:30 in English. To request a tour in other languages (Italian, Spanish, German, French, Greece and Hungarian), please get in touch with the OperaTour team. Please note that the auditorium is closed for visits during rehearsals. Guided tours are not available during performances. For selected tour times, tickets are also available with the PreOpera Menu package. In addition to the guided tour of the Opera House, this option includes a themed set menu of your choice at OperaBistro, which can be enjoyed either before or after the tour.
