A történet szerint tragédia árnyékolja be a hobokeni nővérek boldog-dolgos hétköznapjait. Egy este, mikor visszaérnek afrikai missziójukról, váratlan szerencsétlenség történik: mialatt a nővérek ötfős csoportja átruccan a szomszédos Mária dombra, az 52 otthon maradt apáca bevacsorázik egyik társuk mérgező főztjéből. A bingózásból hazatérő életben maradt apácákra vár a feladat, hogy eltemessék a megboldogult lányokat. Képeslapokat gyártanak, és a befolyt pénzből eltemetnek 48 nővért az 52-ből. A maradék 4 apácát pedig fagyasztóládába teszik. Az ő temetésükhöz szükséges hiányzó összeget egy jótékonysági rendezvény bevételéből kívánják fedezni, ezért jótékonysági show-t rendeznek, ami azonban kicsit másként alakul, mint ahogy azt a zárdafőnök asszony elképzelte...

A 60-minute tour starts every day at 13:30, 15:00 and 16:30 in English. To request a tour in other languages (Italian, Spanish, German, French, Greece and Hungarian), please get in touch with the OperaTour team. Please note that the auditorium is closed for visits during rehearsals. Guided tours are not available during performances. For selected tour times, tickets are also available with the PreOpera Menu package. In addition to the guided tour of the Opera House, this option includes a themed set menu of your choice at OperaBistro, which can be enjoyed either before or after the tour.
Pairing the two German composers, Wagner and the Wagnerian Strauss in a single evening creates a sweeping and overwhelming fusion of expansive melodies and driving dramatic force. The encounter between Wagner’s mythical intensity and Strauss’s modernism is a dialogue between two musical giants who reshaped not only German but also international musical life. In the performance of the OPERA Orchestra, their compositions promise deep emotions, dense musical textures, and sonic grandeur.
