Anne-Sophie Mutter az a személy, aki minden bizonnyal a legtöbb lemezfelvétellel rendelkező szólisták élbolyába tartozik. 2011-ben ünnepli első nyilvános hangversenyének harmincötödik évfordulóját, eddig mintegy félszáz album jelent meg a nevével. Az elsőt – a Karajan vezette Berlini Filharmonikusokkal, 1978-ban – éppen abból a két Mozart-versenyműből készítette, amelyen ezen a koncerten is játszik. A világhírű, számos Grammy-díjat begyűjtő művész két-három évtizede a kortárs zene prominens előadója is, több neves zeneszerző (Dutilleux, Gubajdulina, Penderecki, Lutosławski, Rihm) komponált már számára zenét.

Our offer

As it is a latent Kodály season, it seems only fitting that the concert at the OPERA honouring the events of 1956 should feature works by the composer. In that same year, the short-lived Revolutionary Council of Hungarian Intellectuals elected him as its president. Throughout his entire oeuvre, Kodály consistently reinforced Hungarian national identity. The programme gains both colour and a ceremonial character from the hymn-like and dance-infused compositions of his middle and later years.

Bartók Béla’s two highly influential stage works explore the dynamics of the relationship between man and woman and the deeper layers of their personalities, as presented by creators who, through a fusion of tradition and innovation, reveal the possibilities inherent in these works for 21st-century audiences.

János Hunyadi is responsible for the tolling of bells around the world; Mátyás Hunyadi is the hero of a string of folk tales; László Hunyadi inspired “only” an opera.
