Az olasz mester egyik legérettebb alkotását keveseknek kell bemutatni: viszont nemcsak a zenetörténetben, hanem a Szabadtéri történetében is kiemelt helyet kap ez az opera. Különleges jubileumot ünnepel 2019-ben az Aida – éppen 80 éve, 1939-ben mutatták be először a Dóm téren, Nádasdy Kálmán rendezésében, Ferencsik János vezényletével.
