Mike Leigh, a Magyarországon is ismert, népszerű brit filmrendező színházi rendezőként és színpadi szerzőként kezdte pályáját. Filmjeleneteinek felépítése és a műveire jellemző részletgazdag, árnyalt, sok életismeretet, megfigyelést használó színészi játék. Ahogyan filmjei, darabjai is leginkább a magánszféra kérdéseit firtató történetek, amelyek fókuszában többnyire működési zavartól sújtott emberi kapcsolatok állnak.
Az Abigail bulija szereplői egyazon kertvárosi utca lakói. Átlagos emberek, abban a korban, mikor először kezd tűnődni az ember, megkapott-e mindent az élettől, amire fiatalon vágyott. Elégedetlenségre nincs is okuk. Aztán, amíg egyikük kamaszlánya, Abigail, bulit rendez a haverjainak, a szomszédban a felnőttek is összejönnek, hogy megigyanak néhány pohárral, és hogy jobban megismerjék egymást – közben pedig kénytelenek feltenni egymásnak és maguknak azokat a kérdéseket, amelyeket néha elhallgatni volna jobb.
Our offer
There are evenings when our Opera House cannot perform because rehearsals are ongoing on stage until the evening. There are audience members who can only afford to hear their favourite pieces with a discount. And there are works that, although very popular, cannot be staged every season due to the congestion of productions.
A 60-minute tour starts every day at 13:30, 15:00 and 16:30 in English. To request a tour in other languages (Italian, Spanish, German, French, Greece and Hungarian), please get in touch with the OperaTour team. Please note that the auditorium is closed for visits during rehearsals. Guided tours are not available during performances. For selected tour times, tickets are also available with the PreOpera Menu package. In addition to the guided tour of the Opera House, this option includes a themed set menu of your choice at OperaBistro, which can be enjoyed either before or after the tour.
