A 19. század végére a zenés színpadi műfajok végletesen differenciálódnak: gondoljuk csak el, mi minden elfér az európai színpadokon! Wagner eszmerendszere, az operett diadalútja, a nemzeti opera színrelépése, az izmusok feltűnése, a zenés színpadi jelenségek és áramlatok végtelen változatossága. Beköszönt a 20. század, Satie, Cocteau, Picasso, Stravinsky, Bartók, Gershwin és a Beatles százada, a végtelen alkotói szabadság, az épater le bourgeois, az expresszionizmus, a dada, a bruitizmus zajos százada, a nagy eszményektől és téveszméktől vezérelt évszázad. A színész szakos egyetemisták és rendezők kíváncsi társulata újra virtuóz módon tallóz a posztromantika és a posztmodern közötti száz esztendő zenés színpadi repertoárjából.
