Játszódik a budapesti Irodalmi Múzeum Szerb Antal Emlékkiállításán, napjainkban.
Rejtélyes gyilkosság történik a budapesti Irodalmi Múzeumban: halva találják a Szerb Antal-kiállítás kurátorát, Sir Benedict Havasréti professzort. A nyomozást a BRFK ambiciózus nyomozója, Mersz Inez vezeti, aki segítségül hívja dr. Láng Róbert gimnáziumi magyartanárt, a professzor egykori szakmai jóbarátját. A nyomok okkult társaságok évszázados harcához vezetnek. Ahhoz, hogy kiderítsék, a professzornak miért kellett meghalnia, hőseinknek el kell olvasnia Havasréti gyerekkori naplóját, melyben felbukkan maga Szerb Antal, és benne foglaltatik a Rózsakeresztes Rend történetének egyik legtitkosabb fejezete is... a fejezet, amely örökre átírhatja a Szerb Antal-kutatás eddig ismert eredményeit!
Our offer
Set in the Roman Empire around 74 BC, Spartacus was László Seregi's first true full-length ballet, which at one stroke became a milestone in Hungarian dance life. Since 1968, one generation after another has enjoyed the historically themed choreography, which treats the story of the ancient slave revolt in such a way that its true message is not the rebellion itself, but rather human emotions and choices under pressure.
There are evenings when our Opera House cannot perform because rehearsals are ongoing on stage until the evening. There are audience members who can only afford to hear their favourite pieces with a discount. And there are works that, although very popular, cannot be staged every season due to the congestion of productions.
As it is a latent Kodály season, it seems only fitting that the concert at the OPERA honouring the events of 1956 should feature works by the composer. In that same year, the short-lived Revolutionary Council of Hungarian Intellectuals elected him as its president. Throughout his entire oeuvre, Kodály consistently reinforced Hungarian national identity. The programme gains both colour and a ceremonial character from the hymn-like and dance-infused compositions of his middle and later years.
