A két évvel ezelőtti Notre-Dame kalandozások és a tavalyi Westminster túra után a Szent Efrém Férfikar Rómában tölti – virtuálisan – a karácsony és szilveszter közötti időszakot. Az örök város megszámlálhatatlanul hatalmas zenei kincsei közül villant fel egyházi és világi témájú kompozíciókat három estén keresztül.

Palestrina, Lassus, Victoria, Josquin des Prés, Liszt – öt zseni a zenetörténetből, akik hosszabb-rövidebb ideig (Palestrina egész életében) Rómában éltek és remekművekkel gazdagították a Musica Sacra-t, melynek ősforrásából, a szintén itt keletkezett gregorián (Nagy Szent Gergely pápa) zenéből is énekel a Szent Efrém Kórus a második estén.
