Az Erdélyi Fejedelemség, mely eddig távol tartotta magát a háborútól, most parancsot kap a nagyvezírtől: az erdélyi hadak csatlakozzanak a török sereghez.
Erdély fiatal fejedelme, Báthory Zsigmond inkább hajlandó meghalni, semhogy a kereszténység (mai fogalmaink szerint: Európa) ellen harcoljon. A legbefolyásosabb főurak azonban pontosan látják a törökökkel való szembefordulás veszélyét. Azt is tudják, hogy török támadás esetén Rudolf császár segítségére nem számíthatnak. Körvonalazódik a terv: Zsigmondot le kell mondatni, helyette Boldizsár legyen a fejedelem...

A 60-minute tour starts every day at 13:30, 15:00 and 16:30 in English. To request a tour in other languages (Italian, Spanish, German, French, Greece and Hungarian), please get in touch with the OperaTour team.
