1938, Austria. Maria, the passionate singer and novice goes to naval captain von Trapp’s villa as a governess. The captain was widowed earlier and raises his seven children soldierlike. But Maria doesn’t follow the strict rules: she rather cares for the children with love and attention.

One day the captain makes a journey to Vienna, and comes back with a notable fiancée. After arriving he realizes that Maria had taught his children to sing and the rigorous captain becomes friendlier. He gives a ball where everyone realizes that von Trapp is in love with the governess.
Coming home from their honeymoon the newlyweds encounter the German occupation. They have only two choices: either yielding or flight together with the children…
In the 1965 movie based on the musical The Sound of Music starred Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer in the lead roles. One of the most popular musical films of all times won five Oscars.
