Egy szűk osztályközösség találkozik, hogy az érettségi évfordulóját megünnepelje, lengyel és zsidó diákok vegyesen. Annak a generációnak a képviselői, akiknek sorsát megpecsételték a második világháború borzalmai. S bár maga a találkozás ünnepi esemény, a háború traumatikus emlékei felkavaróak, és drámai felismeréseket idéznek elő. A dráma a tolerancia és a megbocsátás szükségességének üzenetét hordozza. A különbségek, a másság elfogadásának védelmét, az agresszív impulzusok meghaladását, a történelmi sorsszerűség elfogadását, egy felvilágosult, kiegyensúlyozott, az igazra nyitott nézőpontból.

A 60-minute tour starts every day at 13:30, 15:00 and 16:30 in English. Please note that the auditorium is closed for visits during rehearsals. Guided tours are not available during performances. For selected tour times, tickets are also available with the PreOpera Menu package. In addition to the guided tour of the Opera House, this option includes a themed set menu of your choice at OperaBistro, which can be enjoyed either before or after the tour.
As it is a latent Kodály season, it seems only fitting that the concert at the OPERA honouring the events of 1956 should feature works by the composer. In that same year, the short-lived Revolutionary Council of Hungarian Intellectuals elected him as its president. Throughout his entire oeuvre, Kodály consistently reinforced Hungarian national identity. The programme gains both colour and a ceremonial character from the hymn-like and dance-infused compositions of his middle and later years.
