A sűrű erdő közepén élő életigenlő malac, Ildikó és cseppet sem életigenlő barátja, Sándor, a varjú építkezésre adják fejüket. Először nádból, aztán fából, végül téglából építenek ideális malaclakot a gonosz farkas, Imre ellen. Imre persze igyekszik túljárni a kisállatok eszén, s nem restelli farkastestvéreit is csatasorba állítani, de a „többet ésszel, mint erővel” örök igazsága a mese végén ezúttal is érvényre jut.
