Eberhard Streul egy színházi kellékes nagy estjéről szóló monológját Parti Nagy Lajos írta át magyar színpadra. Bieder József kellékes előadás után teszi a dolgát: pakol az üres színpadon, s felnézve, váratlanul közönséggel, méghozzá telt házzal találja magát szembe.
A hajdani segédszínész, ez az örökös háttérember először roppant zavarba jön, nem tudja, hogyan oldja meg ezt a számára váratlan, már-már szürreális helyzetet, de aztán egyre jobban feltalálja magát, mesélni kezd az életéről, a színházról, hajdan volt nagy színészekről, s mulatságos vagy szívszorító anekdotákat, emlékeket idéz fel a kulisszák előtt és a kulisszák mögött történtekről.
Az este kiváló alkalom, hogy Kern András legendás és sokszínű humorával, a kis emberek, ábrázolásának mestereként emlékezetessé tegye ezt a bemutatót. A rendező Ilan Eldad, akivel előző, közös munkájuk a tavalyi évad nagy sikere Az élet mint olyan előadása (Kútvölgyi Erzsébettel és Rajhona Ádámmal együtt), szintén a Pesti Színházban.

Since 1968, one generation after another has enjoyed the historically themed choreography, which treats the story of the ancient slave revolt in such a way that its true message is not the rebellion itself, but rather human emotions and choices under pressure.
