A Szöktetés a szerájból sikere után Mozart két opera komponálásába is belekezdett, de mindkettőt abbahagyta. A kairói lúd, illetve A rászedett vőlegény című, két töredékes komédiát stílusában tekinthetjük a Figaro és a Così előfutárának is, és olykor még a Don Giovanni világára is ráismerhetünk.
A töredékek Mozart életében nem kerültek színre, halála után viszont több sikeres pasticcio, azaz több zenés mű részleteiből összegyúrt előadás is született belőlük. Az Opera Ókovács Szilveszter húsz éve dédelgetett ötletéből, Németh Pál zenei irányítása mellett kívánja bemutatni az eddig ismeretlen Mozart-operát, melynek premiere egyben az Opera új próba-, gyártó- és raktárkomplexumának, az Eiffel Műhelyháznak nyitó előadása is lesz. Giovanni Battista Varesco szövegét kiegészítette Lorenzo Da Ponte, zenéjét gondozta Németh Pál.

Please note that the auditorium is closed for visits during rehearsals. Guided tours are not available during performances. For selected tour times, tickets are also available with the PreOpera Menu package. In addition to the guided tour of the Opera House, this option includes a themed set menu of your choice at OperaBistro, which can be enjoyed either before or after the tour.
